The English Civil War came to Daventry when King Charles I stayed at The Wheatsheaf Inn and his troops camped near Borough Hill prior to the Battle of Naseby in 1645. The Museum’s 2020 exhibition explored the battle and the stories of the people of Daventry during the turbulence of the 17th century. Here you can enjoy some activities related to the Civil War.
