Daventry Priory Seal
Silver seal of Nicholas of Ely who was Prior of Daventry in 1231. The seal was discovered in Daventry Holy Cross churchyard in the 18th Century. It's perfect condition means that it must have been lost during the time Nicholas was prior because seals were broken or destroyed when their owner died in order to stop their illicit use after their death.
