Town Clerk Wig and Wig Box with brush
Wig and wig box made by Ede & Son (Robe Makers to her Majesty) of Chancery Lane, London, worn by the Town Clerk as a symbol of their time in office. Made with horse hair and was usually kept in it's box. The wig is still brought out at ceremonial occasions.
