Musket ball
A musket ball possibily from as far back as the English War and 1645 when Borough Hill was used as an encampment for King Charles I army. Lead musket balls such as this (the lead now has a textured pale patina) are quite common finds in the Northamptonshire area where there was much action in battle during the Civil War. Ball measures approximately 2.5cm in diameter.
