Faces of the Fallen – Remembrance Display

On Saturday 6th November Daventry Museum welcomed local war historian, Gerry Thompson, with a poignant display entitled, Faces of the Fallen

This special Remembrance exhibit displayed 80 photographs of the Daventry Soldiers, of both World War One and World War Two, who never came home.

Alongside the display a Roll of Honour video was shown, naming all the Daventry Soldiers on the War Memorial, as well as those Daventry Soldiers remembered on other war memorials across the world.  Among the video were also the nine American Airmen who gave their lives during World War Two when their B17 Flying Fortress hit the Air Ministry Gee Mast on Borough Hill, returning from a bombing mission in Germany.

The display ran from Saturday 6th November to Friday 12th November 2021.
