Daventry Charity Christmas Gifts on sale at Daventry Museum

Daventry Town Council were delighted to receive a special delivery from Sheaf Street Health Store of unique Daventry Christmas gifts which are now on sale at Daventry Museum.

Sheaf Street Health Store have produced calendars, notebooks and Christmas cards with help from from local photographers and Facebook group, ‘Thank you Daventry for the Memories’. Due to the generous sponsorship from the store, every single penny from the sale of these gifts will be shared equally between two local charities CoppaFeel! and Pete Spencer’s Helping Hands Memorial Fund.

CoppaFeel! was founded by twin sisters Kristin and Maren Hallenga, from Daventry, in 2009 after Kristin was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at the age of 23. CoppaFeel! are the first breast cancer charity in the UK who create awareness amongst young people, with the aim of instilling the knowledge and tools they need to get to know their bodies, and educate them on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.

Established in 1980, Pete Spencer’s Helping Hands Memorial Fund offers support to local children with serious illnesses and disabilities, providing specialist equipment, and organised activities. The fund helps children with a wide range of medical conditions including – Cancer, Leukaemia, Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Epilepsy, Dwarfism and Downs Syndrome.
