Pre-book your free entry to Daventry Museum’s Victorian Leisure exhibition during half-term and Saturday 5th June open day.
Daventry Museum reopened its doors to the public on Tuesday 18th May with a new exhibition, Victorian Leisure, after a 6-month closure following the second national lockdown. Staff and volunteers are thrilled to be able to welcome visitors safely back to the museum and make their visit a memorable one.
Visitors need to pre-book their visit during Tuesday 1st June to Saturday 5th June, coinciding with Northamptonshire’s half term and the museum’s Saturday open day. Simply go to www.eventbrite.co.uk and search for ‘Victorian Leisure’ or call the museum on 01327 301 246 to book your free entry.
Fascinating objects on display include examples of early motion picture such as the zoetrope and magic lantern, to an architectural model of a Victorian theatre, Victorian outfits and an extravagant, green fringed, theatre handbill.
During half term we will be giving away free peg doll making kits and a craft book for you to take home. There’s also a fun family quiz and object hunt available at the museum.
