As part of Daventry Museum’s Arts, Crafts and Collectables exhibition, members of Daventry Model Boat Club will be returning to the museum and putting on a display from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 4th August.
Daventry Model Boat Club was formed in 1980 by five members who wanted to sail electric scale model boats and yachts in the Daventry area. The club has since expanded and moved to Napton Marina. Members of the club will be on hand to answer any questions and show visitors how the model boats work.
Alongside the model boats there is a range of arts and crafts exhibits, including country craftsman Robert Manton’s Corn Dollies, ceramics by Charlotte Hupfield, oil paintings and a display of quilts by Danetre Quilters.
Collectables also feature in the exhibition including vinyl records, pocket watches and brooches.
